Our Second Wedding Anniversary - Part Three!

Continuing on from my previous posts (Part One & Part Two) about how we celebrated our wedding anniversary, here's the last part where Daddy Li brought me out for dinner!

We dined at Au Chocolat, located at MBS. The place is really lovely. Their interior is so whimsy and welcoming, great for a meal out with the family or friends. We got the booth seat as well so that's a double yay!

It was difficult to choose what to order as they had quite an extensive menu and honestly everything seemed to be worth trying. This despite the fact that I was really hungry (yes, me, hungry again #gluttonforlife).

We eventually settled to order three dishes first, and to only order more if we still aren't full. Didn't want to make a mistake and be greedy pigs, plus we weren't sure if the food was gonna be that good.

Not forgetting, we had to get the Hot Fudge. How can you say no the words "fudge"?! I opted for a warm drink cos it happened to be raining that night, and I was fuh-reezing, and it was the best choice ever. It was so rich, but not until you find yourself downing glasses of water after.

I didn't fancy the handmade Mini Crab Cakes Slider we ordered. I was actually quite excited to try it cos I'm always on the search for a good crab cake plus it was recommended on the menu. This one was really dry, and I felt it would have better on it's own than in the form of a slider. In fact, we ate ours separately. That is the crab cakes on their own separate from the rest of the burger.

We also ordered the Parma Ham Crepe with rock melon and swiss gruyere cheese. Parma ham is always yummy, and when paired with rock melon it's divine. With that said, it was good, but not something that's a must-try.

The star of the night was without a doubt the Duck Confit with potato mash, white wine poached pear and tangy chocolate orange sauce. First off, the duck was cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. The potato mash was smooth and creamy. We let Kaitlin try the mashed potato and she loved it! I know the thought of a chocolate orange sauce might make you think twice about ordering this dish, but let me tell you that it's the best part of the dish other than the duck of course.

The Duck Confit is a dish that you must definitely order. I've also heard good things about their Truffle Fries, but we didn't order it cos we didn't want to end up having that horrible bloated feeling after. Would definitely try it on our next visit!

Service wise, it was quite hard to get the attention of the waiters as they weren't very attentive. Another reason was also cos we were tucked away in a corner so you can't really blame them. Other than that, it was a good experience. I personally feel that Au Chocolat is family friendly place. Booth seats are always great for kids I feel and they've got such a wide variety of items on the menu it'll be easy to order for even the fussiest eater. Taste wise, though there were some misses I'm still very interested to try out the rest of the menu especially since their Duck Confit left me with a lasting impression. What's more I'm sure the decadent desserts are sure to make the kids sit through the meal!

I had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary with Daddy Li and babygirl. I really wouldn't have it any other way. Though I'm unable to be experiencing and "living the life" as most of my other peers are currently, I still very happy that these two are a part of my life ever since two years ago. I find my life having much more meaning than it used to be. I don't know what life would be like now if K didn't come into our lives, and if we didn't get married. Sure, it's not the usual way of how things should have been, our lives kind of hit the fast-forward button..at times I wonder what could have been, or what I could be doing now, or even how I might be missing out..but the thing is I always end up with the same conclusion that everything happens for a reason and that I wouldn't want to exchange my current life for anything else. Just being able to spend quality time and care for Daddy Li and K makes me feel very contented already.

Thanks you hubxz for the wonderful past two years. We definitely had disagreements and fights, but I believe that just makes us our relationship stronger (you better believe it too or else...!) I do hope we have many more years together..like the old couple from UP cos I don't know about you but I love you very very much like from here to around the world and back! Here's to many more body slams, chin-ing, scaring each other, teasing..and of course not forgetting my favourite snuggle cuddle time hehe! Love you lots hubster <3

It's three days into June, and I'm a little late for my usual round up of Instagram pics for the past month but better late than never! If you are interested, you can follow me @beaverwoo!

In case it has yet to dawn on you, we are half way into the year already! Wait what? Half a year gone by..and what progress have I made..and what goals have I achieved? Big uh-oh there. I feel that this year has really gone by fast. Faster than other years.

May has felt like a busy month..but yet I can't pinpoint what I was so busy with -.- I guess that just means that the past month has been very unproductive and full of procrastination :( Now I feel like I need to catch-up..but honestly I'm still feeling really lazy :( I seriously need to find some sort of motivation and give myself a serious pep talk.

Well, May has been fun. We celebrated our wedding anniversary, visited Gardens By The Bay to see the tulips and I got to hang with my friends a little. In a mommy's world, when you can meet your friends for even half an hour, it's bloody awesome. It's also been a rocky month I feel, well that's just me thinking too much into things..but yes..hoping the next month will be a better one and that things will improve. Also, I fell ill twice. What is this?! I feel like my body's weaker than Kaitlin's.

June is gonna be a BUSY month. This week alone, there's so much things going on that I've to constantly refer to my planner to remind myself what I've got. It's also gonna be a little more tiring than usual and quite bleak cos Daddy Li has quite a number of duties which means he won't be home D: This isn't very good since Kaitlin has been pretty close to her dad recently and I honestly think she sees him as the greatest man on Earth. Right..she totally forgot who supplies her milk and attends to her every night and is left with eye bags the size of Russia. Well, back to the point..I seriously hope I have the energy and mood to keep up with this month..don't want end up falling sick again (even though yes I'm currently ill again after recovering for like less than a week!) and I definitely don't want to turn into one angry pink hulk. Why pink? Cos it's my favourite colour..green is just so bleagh.

Well, I hope May was fantastic for you, and your June will be a better month than mine! If it's gonna be a crazy month, not to worry..you're not alone :)

Our Second Wedding Anniversary - Part Two!

On the morning of our wedding anniversary, we dropped Kaitlin off at school together and then headed to Riders Cafe for brunch! Riders Cafe is one of my favourite brunch spots. The food never disappoints and I get to see ponies :D:D

Since it was a weekday, the cafe was pretty empty and we even got to choose our favourite outdoor spot. It always gets super crowded on weekends, so if you are thinking of heading down it is best to make a reservation.

The lemon ricotta pancakes were really good and you should really give them a try if you can cos they served limited portions. The blueberries on the side were an excellent accompaniment to the fluffy pancakes, and the portion was just enough to fill our tummies.

There's nothing bad to say about the smoked salmon and creamed eggs. You can't really go wrong with   a salmon, eggs and avocado combo! As the name suggests, the eggs were indeed morsels of creamy goodness. The only gripe that Daddy Li had about it was that they only served one asparagus and it was soggy.

Being greedy me, and because I had a bad craving for scones..we decided to try out the ones at Riders Cafe. Presentation wise, it doesn't look that appetizing..but oh my, these scones are really..da bomb dot com. It's really hard to find good scones in SG, they are either too hard or too soft..and worse, some are served cold. Like they don't bother to heat it up or it's just the outside that's warm and the inside is cold and tastes like overnight food.

Would have been better if they served clotted cream, but since it's already so hard to find yummy scones in SG I'll still order it again even without the clotted cream.

As usual, service is good and prices are reasonable. Portions are just nice, and you can hardly find anything to complain about the food. It's also great that they open earlier than most brunch spots..perfect for the early birds! Best of all..you get to see ponies, which I'm sure kids and adults will enjoy. The only problem would be that it's a tad out of the way for people without a car, but don't let that stop you from checking out the place at least once.

After our brunch, we decided to walk around a little to see the ponies and to try and digest all the yummy food we had. 

They look so sad and bored right?! I tried to entertain them by jumping around and saying Hi and all but they were still stoning..so I guess that's just them being themselves. Yes, I am aware that I've a child and I still act like one at times..but hey! Life is all about living it young..why behave so old and boring when you've still got the energy.

I asked Daddy Li to pose with the tree..and this is what he did! Quite funny..and at least he pei he me so I was very happy :)

So that was basically how our little date went! We went to The Grandstand after that to visit PasarBella (again). It's really empty on the weekdays and not many of the shops were opened so better to visit on the weekends I feel. We went to Giant after to do some major grocery shopping before picking Kaitlin up.

Our Second Wedding Anniversary - Part One!

Our second wedding anniversary has come and gone, but I still have to blog about it! How can I not? Two years is quite amazing, but of course not as amazing as being with someone for twenty years or even fifty, but well I feel every year counts, and ever moment should be treasured.

I decided to bring Daddy Li for an early anniversary dinner since he would be bringing me out on our actual anniversary date. Of course, we had to include Kaitlin as well so I decided to bring us to a family place cos that way there is less pressure if she makes noise, and the other patrons would naturally understand our situation.

Ristorante Da Valentino it was! It's located at The Grandstand (former Turf City) so we decided to check out PasarBella before dinner. It's such a lovely place but produce there can get seriously overpriced.

We were so super famished that we couldn't wait for the food to arrive. Thankfully, they served us some bread first. I love it when restaurants serve bread rolls with butter or like olive oil! It makes me super happy and I feel so at home there..I know I sound weird..but warm bread rolls are the best :D

Food arrived!! Seriously it was quite hard to choose what to have cos everything sounded so yummy, or maybe it was cos we were hungry that's why. 

We got a Carnivore pizza to share and it was so good! Daddy Li thinks the white-based pizza at Etna is better, but hey hey to me both taste great. Way better than Pizza Hat, so that's good enough for me.

We also ordered a squid ink pasta with salmon and shrooms in cream sauce. I don't really take well to cream sauce cos I will feel all nauseous, but it had salmon and shrooms in it (my fave) and it was the day's special so we just got it. I felt that the pasta portion was a tad small but lucky we ordered a pizza so it was just nice for us. Nevertheless, it was cooked to perfection. Writing this now makes me really want to go back for more!!

For dessert, we tried their tiramisu! Actually all their desserts looked so yummy but we didn't want to be greedy pigs and end up wasting food so we chose one..and it was really good. Love how creamy and rich it was.

Kaitlin got to have some minced meat from the pizza and salmon from the pasta as well! She also finished the dinner I prepared for her from home. She was on excellent behaviour mode..and for some reason she got really excited halfway through our meal!



She started playing with the napkin and then proceeded to play with the cutlery. It was really quite hilarious to watch. The waiters were all really friendly as well, and some entertained her for few seconds here and there.

Speaking of the waiters, I have to say the service at Ristorante Da Valentino was excellent. Every waiter that served us was warm and friendly. We felt so at home there that I would highly recommended it as a great family restaurant to check out.

Third Year Anniversary - Part 3

Hello! Finally back to continue about Part 3 of our Anniversary!

Started our day off with brekkie and a cupcake from The Marmalade Pantry. Super duper love their cupcakes ever since the first time I tried them. Love love love.

We headed out of the house after and it started pouring insanely and all of us including Kaitlin got wet. Well, Kaitlin didn't get that wet cos we were protecting her from the rain. But since her leggings were wet she got new pants for the day! Lucky girl right.

After settling everything and feeding Kaitlin, Daddy Li and I left for our appointment at Adeva Spa. Finally we got some 'me' time to relax together. This has not happened for a really really long time. So it was wonderful that we finally could have some time together to unwind. I actually bought the voucher for this like really long time ago, but we didn't get around to using it till that day. Like at least been 10 months or something since I bought it. If you are wondering what happened to Kaitlin, she was at the playground playing happily and then after that she took a nap.

I made sure that I booked us a slot so that it would be just nice that Kaitlin would be taking her nap and I wouldn't have to worry so much about her.

Before the massage, we were actually able to use Adeva's facilities like the sauna and jaccuzi, but cos we worried about Kaitlin, we only arrived 15 mins before our appointment time so we didn't get to do it. Instead, they assessed what we would like for our massage, for example the pressure and the type of oil used. I think this personalised service is great.

Pictures taken before we started our massage. Service was excellent and they were very caring. The masseuse were worried about me being cold cos my hair was all drenched so they covered me up and advised me to take a shower later on to rinse out the rain water. Also, the thing I love about it is that they were yakking and chatting away or like trying to promote you to buy a package or something whilst doing the massage. I would have been damn annoyed if they did. 

Another plus point is that the massage bed has a warming function. They didn't mention it but I could feel it warming me up and I thought that was great, esp since I was freezing cold from the rain. 

Overall, the massage was good but I didn't end up falling asleep. Personally, I assess if they are good also by the fact if it was relaxing enough for me to fall asleep. However, in this situation, I would not say that they were not good, but rather that I could not put my mind at ease cos I was worried about Kaitlin and thinking about her. Daddy Li fell asleep during the massage and even snored so I guess it the whole experience was not too bad. It was just me!

Massage ended and Daddy Li and split ways to go use their facilities. We made sure that Kaitlin was still asleep before proceeding on cos if she wasn't, we would have just left.
 

I went into the sauna for like a few minutes and left to shower. It just wasn't my thing. Took a hot shower and then went into the jacuzzi for awhile. Good thing was that I was the only one around so I got to use all the facilities without caring if anyone was there :D The jacuzzi got a little cold for me cos well I'm used to warm/hot water and Lihai knows that. I bathe in extremely warm water everytime and he thinks I'm insane. So anyway..I took another shower to warm myself up.

Even though Kaitlin was still asleep, we didn't use the facilities for that long cos we just didn't want to be away from her for too long. Before we left, Adeva Spa served us a complimentary warm chinese dessert each. I don't know what it was, but it had pears and some nuts in it. It was super awesome and I wanted more!!! Then of course, the staff asked us if we would like to purchase their package and we kindly declined since they were not being overly pushy about it. Honestly speaking, if it was not for the voucher, their regular prices would have been a little too pricey. Then again, with such great service, I wouldn't mind paying, but we really wouldn't be doing this on a regular basis with Kaitlin being a small girl still. Perhaps in the future when she grows older, and we can worry less about her and have more 'us' time we might. 

If you are on the lookout for a massage or facial for yourself or as a couple thing, you should definitely give Adeva Spa a try. Plus, one of their outlets is located at Paragon, so central and convenient you won't regret :)

Headed for lunch at Fish & Co. cos everywhere was crowded. We do not really like Fish & Co. or Manhattan Fish Market but since it was all the eateries were packed we didn't really have a choice :( Oh yes, we gave Kaitlin some fish and rice to try and she loved the fish! Probably cos of all the salt and all, but don't worry we gave her a tiny amount only. After lunch, we brought Kaitlin over to her trial class at Julia Gabriel.

This time, Daddy Li accompanied her so that he could have a better idea of the lesson and she was an absolutely well-behaved and cooperative girl. I sat right outside the classroom just in case she got cranky or was looking for me but throughout the lesson Daddy Li could manage her so super big thumbs up to Daddy Li and Kaitlin. 

Don't have much images of Kaitlin for this trial class since I didn't sit in but I managed to take pictures when they were playing at the playground! Kaitlin kept going to all the vehicles and trying to ride them and for this particular car that she was "driving" in, she didn't want to close the door! Daddy Li tried to close it and she pushed it open, and when the teachers closed it she pushed it open again. Being a bad ass I guess.

So that was basically how we ended off our Third Year Anniversary. Next year is the fourth, and oh my soon it will be the fifth. So fast right! Can't imagine Kaitlin being 3 years old by then!

Third Year Anniversary - Part 2

Back to blog about our third year anniversary! So well, on the day of our anniversary we had brunch at Skyve and on the way out, we spotted a showflat, so we went by to take a look. After that, we brought babygirl to Amazonia to play!

After all of that, we headed to Far East so that Lihai could get a haircut and I could get my hair washed for our dinner that night :) Got back home and chilled + changed and then we headed out for dinner which Daddy Li planned.

Dinner was at Etna located at the Duxton area. Dinner was gonna be sort of a huge task for us cos we were dining at a restaurant plus we had to make sure Kaitlin would not be cranky and then cause a sin there while we tried to enjoy our anniversary dinner.

Thankfully, with the super dad, plus some bread we managed to get through dinner without much fuss!

Yes, thanks to this awesome husband and father over here, I managed to enjoy my dinner a little more than usual. He took over my usual duties of caring for Kaitlin and entertaining her and was much more patient with her than usual. Good job Daddy Li, keep it up! You can do it :)

Back to the food! We ordered an appetize plus two mains to share. Luckily, we didn't order dessert, cos we were so full. Would have loved to try their desserts, but we decided to save that for another time. 

Dinner was delish! The reason why I even took a photo of that bread was because Kaitlin loved it. It was our lifesaver for that night. We don't usually give Kaitlin bread to eat, only small tiny amounts here and there when we are out and happen to order bao or like they give complimentary bread. However, ever since this dinner, we've been giving her bread every meal as an "appetizer" and to keep her happy and entertained so she will continue eating whatever's for breakfast/lunch/dinner. 

She kept wanting more and more of the bread, even more than her puffs which she really loves as well.

We ordered the Crab Meat Pasta in Lobster Cream Sauce and the white base Etna pizza. Both were absolutely delicious and I could find no fault in them at all, except maybe for a bigger portion. Not that the portion was not enough, it was really a just nice portion cos if it was any bigger, we would probably have had a food coma. I just wanted a bigger portion so that I could have it as takeway for my supper that night. I know I'm so greedy, but the food was really that good and I definitely recommend you guys to try it!!

The appetizer wasn't that great and the bread portion was really quite hard. Better to skip on this one. If you are planning to head down to Etna, do give the Pistachio Tiramisu a try and let me know how it is. I heard it's really good, and I'm definitely planning to go back to Etna to give it a try cos I absolutely love pistachio and tiramisu so I can only imagine how awesome it's gonna taste. 

Service was excellent. Much better than some other restaurants we've tried that pride themselves as fine dining restaurants and which are on the pricer side. The staff at Etna were meticulous and very polite. They also knew what they were talking about when explaining the menu, and were very friendly, approaching and ready to help. To date, out of all the restaurants I've been too, I can safely say that Etna is one of the few that don't compromise on their food, service and prices. 

I really do recommend you guys to give Etna a try. The prices are reasonable and you get to have decent Italian food with great service. It's the kind of experience which would put a smile across your face when you're leaving even if you've been having a really horrible day. If you are interested, here are the details:

I am really happy that Daddy Li brought me for dinner at Etna and was very impressed by his choice! At first, he said it would be casual and all and I wasn't that into it being a laid-back place cos it was our anniversary but I figured we might as well have dinner in a chill environment since we are bringing Kaitlin along. However, when we got to Etna, I didn't think of it that way at all. In fact, I felt as if he was bringing me on a date. That's just how good everything was and it made our anniversary that much more awesome than it already was :D

We took a short stroll after dinner and Daddy Li tried to surprise me with roses but I had already spotted him buying them with Kaitlin while I went over to the fruits shop. Haha so cute and so sweet <3

That's basically how we spent our Anniversary..on the actual day! Haha. Yes, we extended our anniversary celebration by a day and I shall blog about it soon cos it's getting quite late now. Goodnight guys xx

October [ in pictures ]

October was a fun month! Going to playgrounds, we had a garage sale to make more space for Kaitlin, going for a few trial classes. Lihai and I also celebrated our anniversary and we celebrated Halloween as a family for the first time! Definitely a month to remember :)

2 more months to go and we would be welcoming 2013! Personally not really crazy about November, I'm more excited for Dec to come so we can celebrate Christmas (I already started getting my xmas coffee fix the past two days!). Yet, I want time to slow down or come to a standstill. I'm not ready for 2013. It's too fast! I don't even think I've done any of my New Year's resolutions, and honestly I can't even remember what they were! #sofail It's okay, 2013 I shall make sure I have it plastered everywhere so I'll remember!

Hope everyone has a good start to November. I really hope there will be less rainy days in November, though I know that's quite impossible with the monsoon season and all, but there's no harm hoping! Oh and I'm dreading the fact that it's gonna be school holidays cos that means that more kids/students in town and I can't shop in empty malls and the playgrounds would be flooded :(

Third Year Anniversary - Part One!

Lihai and I celebrated our third year anniversary last last week :D It's been three years, and it's hard to believe that we've come this far together. I can't believe how time flies, and how much I love this man and how much he loves me back..despite all our flaws, all our fights, and how we used to be worlds apart.

Please ignore my face. I know I look really bad, but I was happy at that moment so it doesn't matter luh. No one is perfect okay :(

Well, anyway! Lihai came back on the morning of our anniversary as he had to do duty the night before. We were supposed to go to Sentosa and bring the babygirl along, but we didn't in the end cos we were afraid that it might rain and of all the logistics like what if the babygirl wants to sleep etc etc.

Ended up bringing Lihai for an impromptu brunch at Skyve.

Lihai ordered the Skyver's Breakfast from their breakfast menu, while I ordered from their lunch menu.

Their breakfast and lunch options were quite limited and there was not much variety, but with that said, Lihai said it was good cos he wouldn't have a hard time choosing what to eat. I guess pros and cons. I personally would have preferred a larger variety. 

We were lucky that we got to Skyve before it started pouring heavily, and just nice, it was time for Kaitlin to nap. Daddy Li did a good job and managed to get her to nap. *Two thumbs and toes up!*

Overall, service was good, and I super love everything about their interior and their concept. Food was not great as well. I know it sounds abit weird, but I really liked the bread roll they gave me. I love eating bread while waiting for my food to come cos it just makes time pass faster and you don't feel like it's taking forever for your food to come! Don't you agree? Plus, if you are really famished, at least you get to munch on something. 

Anyway! I don't know what bread it was but it was just really yummy..and then came my appetizer! I opted for the two-course set lunch cos their dessert of the day was a swiss roll. Nothing fancy about that so I skipped the three-course meal. 

Back to my starters, I love salmon, and as for Lihai, he only eats salmon sashimi. Like he doesn't really like salmon cooked or prepared any other way, even if it's smoked salmon. Well, he liked the gravlax served at Skyve, so I guess that means it's worth a try for those picky fish eaters out there. The egg was pure goodness. You've to try it! 

The panko crusted pork chop came in a decent portion. I was glad it was not anything bigger, as I found it a tad greasy. The brussel sprouts were a little undercooked, and I was a little disappointed cos I love brussel sprouts. One of my favourite veggies! I liked the vegetable puree though! I can't recall if it was pumpkin, sweet potato or carrot, but it was so smooth and yummy. Felt like a baby eating it, cos it was such a smooth puree. The dish was nice, but not something I would order again on my next visit. 

Lihai's breakfast was super yummy, and I would definitely order it if nothing else on their menu entices me. Everything was cooked to perfection. Their mushrooms were a little different from other places as they had a variety of mushrooms instead of the normal button or brown mushrooms, and I liked that it was different.

After we finished our food, Lihai kept asking me if I wanted to order dessert, and I was like chill man..we just finished..slowly..and telling him that they don't have any dessert menu. Then...the waitress came with this! Hehe! 

Arranged with the waitress to see if something special could be done for dessert while Lihai was getting the babygirl to sleep. So glad they managed to put something together for our special day even though they didn't exactly have a dessert menu for lunch and it was last minute. Compliments from the chef as well, but it was so good I wouldn't mind paying for it! I don't know what's the exact name of this, but it was basically like a chocolate cake with nuts in between and marshmallows and berries on top. 

Luckily, babygirl slept through most of our brunch and we got to enjoy some 'us' time. She woke up when we were almost done with our desserts so that was good timing :)

One Year Anniversary - Part 3

Last part about our anniversary!

On the actual day of our anniversary (happened to be a weekday!), Lihai came back with flowers!:D Yayy! It really has been a long time since he gave me a bouquet of flowers! So I was really happy about that:D:D Still pretend that I never see when he purposely placed it so I would have to walk by it, but I acted busy so he would pass them to me himself. Haha!

We had a simple dinner at home, and then...I passed him the present I had been working on for the past one and a half weeks! Took so long cos I had to look after the babygirl as well. It has been a really long time since I last made him something..and I really miss making him stuff..so yeah, the process was fun but tough!

It was basically like a notice board thing with pictures and polaroids of us, notes, a to-do list for us, post-it notes for us to make an effort to write short sweet stuff to each other, some tiny online treasure hunt instructions which led him via QR code to my blog and a .gif I made. I also made him do a mini treasure hunt to find a HAPPY BAG which basically contains everything he likes/uses/wants: food items like chocolates, seaweed and facial products like masks etc. 

I was really happy that he was surprised and liked it cos usually when I try to do stuff for him, he usually knows I'm up to something, but this time he didn't! So yayy!:D I left no clues behind! Basically it was like taking out my unfinished project from the closet + numerous bags containing my scrap materials and then putting them back everyday before he reaches home. I don't really like keeping stuff and taking them out and then pausing for a moment to think where I left off, but no choice and well, it all paid off!

Lihai was gonna cook me steak that night, but it was pretty late already, so we decided to postpone it to the weekends!

The weekends came and...

Yes! That's Chef Li cooking steak for me! Nomxznomxz!:D Best steak everrrrr! It really was yummy okay! Plus, Lihai cooked it! All his love and effort in there <3 Heartxz heartxz!

So, that's how we spent our first year together as husband and wife!:) Hopefully, next year, we get couple time! If not, it really doesn't matter cos I spending the time with the people I love the most! Already looking forward to next year! 

One Year Anniversary - Part 2

Continuing from my previous post!

We started our Sunday off by going down for a swim at the pool after brekkie. We pumped up the huge flower float for Kaitlin to play with. It actually is supposed to be one of those mini pools for like when you don't have a swimming pool..

See that babygirl trying to climb and do all those dangerous stunts! Super important to always keep a close eye on her. I guess this is gonna last for quite a while. When she starts to walk and run I think it'll be worse!

Halfway through while playing..Kaitlin POOPEDDDD! Luckily the babygirl was in her flower float and didn't end up pooping in the pool. I seriously wouldn't know what to do if she did poop in the pool!   We changed her and then it was back to having more fun! 

Had lunch at home and after that we headed out to Go-Go Bambini. Since Lihai and I can't have proper couple time, we decided to just spend the day having fun with Kaitlin. Hence, we decided to bring her to her first indoor playground. We decided on Go-Go Bambini since it was located at Dempsey and pretty near us.

Didn't take alot of photos at Go-Go Bambini cos it was pretty chaotic. Like kids running around everywhere and Kaitlin was just this teeny tiny baby and I didn't want any kid to accidentally stomp on her or something if I was distracted on my phone..I think it was kinda too much for Kaitlin cos so much was going on. When I say so much was going on, I meant like kids screaming and jumping here and there and she was just like "uhhhh.." and probably felt traumatized. Still, the babygirl did have fun in the ball pit and even tried to eat the balls (as usual!) We tried to bring her through the tunnels and stuff and omg, seriously, Lihai and I felt so old. Especially me, I felt like a freaking giant there and having to crawl around, I felt like I was 40. Thank god, I'm doing this when I'm 20. Imagine if I was 30 or even 40, I think I would have to be admitted to the hospital for like an injured knee or something. We also brought her to play on a tiny slide and like some rotating pole thing. The kids there were also really cute! There was this girl that kept coming to me to say Hello! TOO CUTE. 

After that, we headed to the supermarket for some grocery shopping, Kaitlin fell asleep midway through, then it was home! Nuah-ed a little more before we headed out for dinner. 

The funny thing about dinner was...back when it was Valentine's Day, I wanted to bring Lihai for dinner, but we didn't in the end cos we were afraid his mom might not be able to cope with looking after the baby at home while we went for our nice couple dinner. So I cancelled reservations and thought about bringing him for our anniversary but it didn't happen cos Lihai said that he would bring me to dinner and I didn't need to so I settled with bringing him for brunch. Anyway, it turns out that the restaurant he was bringing me to that night was the EXACT SAME RESTAURANT and I kinda guessed it before he brought me and he was like HOW DID YOU KNOW. Well, basically he kinda asked me how to get to the address of the place..then I was like uhhh that address sounds familiar but I brushed it off. Then before we headed out, he went onto the website to check some stuff out, and the website has some like sounds when you hover over the buttons, and I was like that sounds familiar too..and I guessed it! So annoying cos then I can't bring him in future! Also, just so you know, this has sorta happened before. Like we want to bring each other to the same goddamn place, and one of us brings the other just before the other manages to do it. Or we both have the same activity we planned to do..gahh. I guess it's some kind of telepathy or whatever you call it #morereasonswhyIlovelihai. Though it is kinda argh, wtf..I think it is pretty cute that we have similar thoughts..but then again Lihai says..there are only that many restaurants in Singapore..so I guess he's got a point there as well..

Back to the point! We headed over to 1-Altitude and brought the little one with us as well. We were really hoping she would be a good lil girl during dinner so that we could have a good time, just like brunch the previous day, but that didn't really happen -.- She's a lil crankier during evening/night time. So we didn't really get to stay and enjoy much, but it was still nice going out to dinner (finally!!)

We arrived a little earlier, so the restaurant was not opened yet so we headed over to the bar first..we basically sat down and just enjoyed the view. It was really preets though! Sat for a little while then over to the restaurant. We got to seat by the window! (Y) Absolutely loved the view!! Food was pretty nice, but not totally awesome. Though I really loved the mashed potatoes! THEY TASTED LIKE MARSHMALLOWS. I know I'm not making much sense there, but it was just so smooth and airy-ish. I don't know how to describe it, but basically it was just super nice. The service was really bad. Considering it is supposed to be quite an atas restaurant, it was seriously WTF. Not gonna go back there unless it is for the awesome view..or the awesome mashed potatoes! I still had a good time cos duh! Lihai brought me to dinner and he was really sweet <3 Love you manyyyyy!

Since we couldn't stay for long cos the babygirl was cranky and then fell asleep..we weren't really full and it was still really early so we decided to head to town..Ended up having waffles at Haato at Ion. It was super warm and niceeeeee! Though the inside wasn't really cooked, but it was still nomxz and the white peach sorbet was good too! I went back again recently, and same thing, it wasn't really cooked inside..maybe it's like supposed to be like that I guess..But who cares, a little uncooked batter won't kill and it's too yummy! I remembered I had this phase for like two weeks where I just had to have waffles and ice-cream and was constantly craving it so Lihai and I went to different places like Salted Caramel, Udders, Island Creamary etc..and the one at Island Creamary, really isn't that nice. I always wanted to try Haato's but didn't get a chance to but since it is now at Ion..YAY HELLO WAFFLES!!:D Typing this makes me crave for their waffles againnnnn!

Okay, as usual, lazy me, lazy to type more. Shall do a Part 3 then! Omg, I ought to stop being so lazy, but really, this post is getting a little draggy and it's noon and Kaitlin still refuses to nap! Gotta go do something about it! Toodles!
