Online Shopping this Christmas!

Christmas shopping is fun but it can seriously be a big pain the butt when you've to deal with crowds, especially now that we are a week away from Christmas. If you ask me, I think online shopping has got the be the greatest thing that happened in the shopping world. You don't have to deal with crowds, you don't even have to step out of your home and sometimes you might be able to find something unique or grab a good bargain.

Whether you are shopping for yourself, a loved one or your best friend..here's sharing a list of my favourite online shops where you're bound to find something for everyone:

You can never have enough clothes, accessories and shoes, especially when you shop at Zalora. The one-stop online fashion shop stocks both local and international brands and even has a sports and beauty products section. With such a wide selection of fashion merchandise, there's bound to be something to tickle your fancy. Simply sign up for Zalora's newsletter to be entitled to a $10 cash voucher. Free delivery on orders >$40.

ELLY

You definitely can't forget about the kids, and Elly's just the place to shop for chic and comfortable clothing. Besides that, they also have a curated range of accessories, shoes and toys. They've also recently launched their CNY 2014 collection, which is definitely worth checking out.

Kwerkee

If you're looking for lifestyle products and knick knacks that are unique, this is the shop for you! You'll be able to easily find something for him or her and even for the kids. Free shipping for orders >$100.

iHerb.com

Looking for organic and healthy groceries for that health-nut friend or for your recipes this coming Christmas? iHerb is the "place". Prices are sometimes cheaper than what you get at supermarkets or organic shops here and they stock a wider range as well. Not forgetting, there are bulk discounts for certain items. All you have to do is pay a flat $4 shipping fee when using Singpost and delivery is pretty fast as well.

Book Depository

Books are so heavy especially hardcover ones which I like to buy for Kaitlin, that's why I like to do my book shopping on Book Depository. They are mostly cheaper or on par with the bookstores in Singapore, plus Book Depository offers free worldwide delivery. How not to love?! Do note that they don't deliver the books all in one batch.

So there it is, five of my favourite online shops. If you haven't started your Christmas shopping, get clicking away!

Grocery Shopping On RedMart - A Mommy's Guide

Awhile back I blogged about how shopping online for groceries through RedMart is so convenient and such a timesaver. Now I'm back to show you how easy it is to do order your groceries on their user-friendly website.

First off, you've got to create an account which you can simply log in to for future purchases. Setting up the account is real easy and can be done with a minute.

After you've signed up for an account, a confirmation email will be sent to you.

From there on, you just have to log in to your account and start shopping away!

There are lots of categories and varieties available on RedMart, so you'll definitely be able to find what you need from food products to pet supplies.

Tip #1: Check out the 'On Sale' and 'New' sections for great deals and products that have just arrived.

For my purchase, I managed to buy beverages, baby products like diapers and household items like floor cleaners. It was very easy to navigate and find what I needed as the items were well-categorized with many specific sections within each category.

Tip #2: When you're in a rush or can't seem to find what you want, use the search tool.

The search button lets you easily key in what you're looking for and view the products available. I tested it out and it made my online shopping experience that much easier.

Shopping online means that I can compare the different products easily and make a comparison on things like the ingredients in that product and the price. What's more RedMart provides a quick description of the product. I found this useful for products which I've never seen or heard of before but was interested to get.

Take this pack of organic rice as an example. I've never seen this brand before and was interested to find out more. Through the product description and being able to zoom in to read the details on the packaging, I was able to find out more.

When you've found the products that you want, simply choose to 'Add To Cart' or 'Add To My List'.

'My Cart' lists all the products that you want/are going to buy, while in 'My List', you can choose products that you want to purchase, and choose to add to your cart when you've made up your mind. If not, you can just leave it on your list, as a reminder for yourself to purchase it in future. In short, it's kind of your shopping list.

When you're done shopping, the next step is to 'Check Out'. Simply key in your address. The great thing is, you can have more than one address to choose from. That's good for people who want deliver to their own house, and yet sometimes would need the groceries to be delivered to their parents/in-laws or office address.

After selecting the address, you can choose your delivery day and time followed by your payment mode.

Tip #3: For all Hello Little Sunshine readers, you get 10% off on your first purchase. Simply key in 'rm_lilsun' before you confirm your payment.

You will be able to view your confirmed order and a confirmation email will also be sent. All you have to do next is wait for your delivery to arrive right at your door step!

So to all who think that online shopping is difficult, it' actually not at all when you shop on RedMart. Follow the simple steps above, and you'll be able to enjoy fuss-free grocery shopping at your fingertips.

Online Grocery Shopping with RedMart

Living in such a tech-savvy society, I'm sure we've all had our fair share of online shopping experiences, be it buying clothes, books, or even electronic products. It just opens us up to more choices available which are affordable and yet so convenient.

Recently, I had the chance to shop online for...GROCERIES! Yes, that's right the kind of shopping that you have to do almost every other week or at least once a month. I actually enjoy grocery shopping...but the thing I dread the most is carrying all of that home! Thankfully, most of the time I've got Daddy Li to help me when I've got to buy all those heavy items.

But now with grocery shopping online, I don't have to trouble him at all..and best of all I don't have to carry anything. All I do is find somewhere comfy to sit and click click click..

wait a day at least and my order's here!

All that's possible thanks to RedMart! RedMart is a local online grocer that offers a wide variety of groceries and household essentials at competitive prices and best of all they deliver it right to your doorstep.

It's my first time shopping on RedMart, but through my first experience alone I already have five reasons why I love RedMart:

1. Convenient: I don't have to head out to shop. I can do it all in the comfort of wherever I am as long as I'm able to go online. That means whether I'm at home or on the train/bus I can grocery shop on my laptop or iPhone/iPad. They've even got an app that you can download:

In situations like the recent haze, shopping on RedMart means I don't have to head out and get groceries and worry about our health especially K's cos she has to come along.

2. Time Saver: Shopping online saves so much time. I can do it whenever convenient for me like when K is taking her nap or asleep. Should K need my attention, I can always shop half way and come back to it later. I don't have to spend time packing our bags to go out, getting all of us ready and then waiting for the bus or cab. No travelling time needed, no searching high and low for the items I want to buy and no long queues at the cashier. I also save time spent travelling back home and then unloading the items. I can do so much more things with the time saved like cooking, spending time with K doing home learning projects or even squeeze in some family bonding time.

3. No more bulky items to carry: I only ordered 8 items, but that's already difficult enough for me to carry. Items like rice and diapers are already heavy on their own, what's more I've still got Kaitlin to look after and our own bags to carry. Plus, we don't drive and live in a walk-up..imagine how awesome it was to not have to lug all these items onto a cab and then unload it and bring it up, but have RedMart deliver right to your doorstep! I didn't have to trouble Daddy Li at all.

4. No crowds: I don't have to deal with crowds anymore. Most of the time, I would need Daddy Li to tag along to help me with carrying all the items. That usually means we can only grocery shop on weekends and whether it's morning or night, the supermarket always seems to be crowded. Shopping on RedMart means I don't have to squeeze with people at the aisles with my trolley and pram to get what I need, and also I don't have to deal with long queues and an active toddler who can't keep still while waiting for our turn to checkout.

5. Money Saver: RedMart offers free delivery on orders >$75 - an amount that is very easy to accumulate. Unlike shopping at a supermarket, this means I don't have to spend money travelling to and fro. What's more RedMart's products are all sold at competitive prices similar to the supermarkets, and they have sale items as well. For more updates on their promotions, you can also follow them on FB and Twitter.

Now, don't you agree with me that shopping online for your groceries at RedMart is so convenient and fuss-free?

Best of all..for all Hello Little Sunshine readers, you can get an additional 10% off on your first purchase! All you've got to do is enter 'rm_lilsun' before you check out! Happy shopping!
