February [ in pictures ]

It's amazing how we are already into the third month of the year! How did two months just go by like that? I feel like I wasted two months of my life! Okay, that's not what I mean..I meant to say that well I felt like I never really did much the past two months.

February would definitely be a month of celebration. We had CNY and Valentine's Day + our usual monthsary celebration (once in a while we do something special..if not it really has become just like any other day except we don't fight on those days and give in a little more to each other!)

We've been bringing Kaitlin out quite alot the past month. Even on weekdays, instead of her usual play activities at home, I've opted to bring her to down to the pool instead, and to the botanical gardens for some fun in the sun!

Babygirl loves to play with water so she loves it when we go to the pool. Although I must add that she is afraid to get in. She just likes to play from the side, but better than nothing and I see some slight improvement.

Other than that, we've just been fooling around together and as you can see lots of family time which I am very thankful for. We also finally visited the S.E.A Aquarium which I will blog about soon.

I'm sort of dreading March. One of the reason being that Daddy Li has more duties this month and he will be away in the jungle for a few consecutive days D: It's bad enough that he won't be around, but with him in the jungle, I'll worry even more about him. Sigh..really hoping that this month goes smoothly so I guess the only way is to stay positive and look on the bright side of life aye?

Hope you will all have a great start to March and HAPPY WEEKENDS :D

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2013!

Hey there! Everyone is probably having/just had their reunion dinner. We just tucked Kaitlin to sleep, so I'm finally getting some time to myself! Can you believe I didn't touch the laptop the entire day?!

We have really been very busy around here. Mostly spring cleaning and looking after Kaitlin while doing the everyday chores as well. What is the difference between spring cleaning and everyday chores? Well there is a difference! Spring cleaning is like cleaning all those things you don't usually clean every other day, and probably doing once in awhile. Our everyday chores include sweeping and mopping the floor, washing dishes, washing clothes etc. Yes, we do have a helper, but the past two days we've been on our own, so basically that means handling every single thing ourselves, and we are so so tired!! D:

Worst of all, we are not even done spring cleaning! The house is too huge with x927382673625643 amount of things. Well, I guess at least we tried so I guess the effort matters more. Plus, we will continue to clean the next few days and hopefully been done with it. More to declutter and organize so I guess that's one of our goals for 2013 that we are making progress in.

I'm sorry to my readers for not updating consistently. It's really been tiring, and to be honest, I've been quite lazy to blog even though I do have pockets of time where I'm glued to my laptop. But really, I would rather unwind and chill by watching my shows online. I promise to be back soon proper! Yes, I have not forgotten to blog about the rest of Daddy Li's birthday celebration, in fact, it's sort of drafted but not complete..so wait for it!

In any case, my family and I would like to wish all you readers a HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! May your year be filled with great health and prosperity! Have a fantastic long weekend xx

CNY

I think I really need to stop blogging late posts! Technically, I'm not late cos CNY lasts for 15 days :D  Well anyway, the following pics in this post are from CNY eve and CNY day 1! It's Kaitlin's first CNY!:)

We didn't really do much. Had the usual steamboat dinner on the eve at Lihai's. I think another year of it and I might barf everything out. Traumatized from all the steamboat liao after puking the food out on the second day of CNY. Gross. The vomit I mean.

Well, anyway. Honestly speaking, I don't like CNY, other than the fact that it gives me a valid reason to buy new clothes! :D:D To me, it's quite a dumb holiday. I mean I respect the traditions and stuff and the rational behind it, but I just think it is plain stupid that everywhere has to be closed on CNY day 1, and even day 2. However, I have to say more and more shops are opening up on those days and very soon I think in 10 years time, all the shops would prob be open. Plus, why dont other holidays like Hari Raya or Deepavali get two days off! I think that should happen for maintaining racial harmony purposes and just cos everyone could do with an extra holiday!

A new reason why I hate CNY..I CAN'T RECEIVE ANYMORE ANGPOWS. What is this?! I think everyone should either be given angpows or not at all..afterall they are supposed to be like a blessing. Well, at least Kaitlin gets angpows I guess..but next year we gotta give..so that means, Lihai and I are gonna go hide! Go find a little caveeeee and hide from the rest of the world! We'll leave Kaitxz at home to collect all the angpows which also means we get couple time:D:D haha just joking la! Kaitxz would probably wreak havoc and start tearing up and eating all her angpows! She will just act all innocent like in these photos:

Then when all the visitors leave, she will start chewing off all those little red packets. I'm pretty sure of it, esp since she likes to put everything into her mouth!
