February [ in pictures ]

It's amazing how we are already into the third month of the year! How did two months just go by like that? I feel like I wasted two months of my life! Okay, that's not what I mean..I meant to say that well I felt like I never really did much the past two months.

February would definitely be a month of celebration. We had CNY and Valentine's Day + our usual monthsary celebration (once in a while we do something special..if not it really has become just like any other day except we don't fight on those days and give in a little more to each other!)

We've been bringing Kaitlin out quite alot the past month. Even on weekdays, instead of her usual play activities at home, I've opted to bring her to down to the pool instead, and to the botanical gardens for some fun in the sun! 

Babygirl loves to play with water so she loves it when we go to the pool. Although I must add that she is afraid to get in. She just likes to play from the side, but better than nothing and I see some slight improvement. 

Other than that, we've just been fooling around together and as you can see lots of family time which I am very thankful for. We also finally visited the S.E.A Aquarium which I will blog about soon. 

I'm sort of dreading March. One of the reason being that Daddy Li has more duties this month and he will be away in the jungle for a few consecutive days D: It's bad enough that he won't be around, but with him in the jungle, I'll worry even more about him. Sigh..really hoping that this month goes smoothly so I guess the only way is to stay positive and look on the bright side of life aye?

Valentine's Day 2013

I know it's way past Valentine's Day, but I'm still gonna blog about it anyway!

First! A thousand apologies for totally neglecting this space. Quite annoyed at myself for being so lazy actually, but I will try to get my writing groove back. Time has just been passing by too fast, and I've been feeling really lost in thoughts recently.

Back to what this post was supposed to be about! Valentine's Day for us was a simple affair. In fact, we didn't really end up going according to what was planned cos I wasn't feeling very well by afternoon. Was feel so nauseous and dizzy :( I know you are probably wondering..is she preggers? No I regret to inform you I am not. I even took a pregnancy test to confirm.

In any case, our day started off with me bringing Daddy Li to brunch at Spruce! Our first time even though I've been wanting to go for like forever and it's in fact very close to our place. I suppose more visits in the near future perhaps? It really is a lovely place and I even considered to switch Kaitlin's school there so that I could just spend my days there and wait for her to end class while chilling at Spruce reading magazines or just thinking about life.

We ended up at Spruce for quite some time cos we had some difficulties in getting Kaitlin to nap with all the noise around us. That was great for me cos I got to chill with Daddy Li and let the day pass by just like that.

We ordered some tapas to share. Spanish Omelette, Spanish Chicken Wings and Seared Calamari. I loved the calamari the most.

Both Daddy Li and I didn't find the omelette and wings any special, so you might want to skip that.

For mains, Daddy Li ordered the Whole Roasted Snapper and I ordered the Pan Fried Norwegian Salmon. Yes it was a rather fishy lunch that we had. Quite odd, cos we have never really both ordered fish items. Usually we would take different mains like for example one takes fish and the other poultry or red meat or something else like pasta/pizza.

Daddy Li's Snapper was huge! It was even more amazing that he ate it up cos it had bones and all. Usually he doesn't eat fish with bones. In any case, the fish was really well done. Soft and didn't have the fishy smell. My salmon was yummy as well, but not something that I would recommend you trying since there seem to be other more yummy dishes on their menu.

We spent the rest of our time there sipping coffee and tea and chatting while waiting for Kaitlin to wake up. Perfect way to spend the day I would say!

It was pouring heavily so we went straight home and I was feeling super unwell. Dizzy and nauseous. We ended up nuahing in bed for quite awhile. We were supposed to bake together but I ended up baking alone cos Daddy Li said he had to settle some stuff.

In case you were wondering what I baked...I baked macarons and they were a complete fail hence no pictures D: feel so hopeless when it comes to baking. I think it's my oven that's the problem though. I know right...blame it on the technology -.-

Well, Daddy Li finally came back home and surprised me with flowers, balloons and chocolates <3

Flowers with my favourite tulips, heart shaped (my favourite shape!) pink (my favourite colour!) and red balloons and green tea (my favourite flavour!) chocolate. It seems so cliche with the flowers, balloons and chocolates, but I'm a sucker for all things romantic and plus all my favourites!!

He even tied the balloons outside and told me to go to the door cos something/someone was outside.

Yes, he did this all in the rain which explains the umbrella in the picture.

Daddy Li planned to bring me for dinner but we didn't go in the end cos I was still feeling unwell. It's been postponed, so when we go I'll update about it :) We ended up calling for Thai delivery which took forever to come! Thankfully we weren't hungxz or I would have died waiting D:

That's basically how our Valentine's went..Well I definitely hope that we'll be spending more Vdays together and that our love never becomes boring or stale. To be honest, the longer we are together, the more I kind of feel afraid that our happy days will soon be gone but let's just hope all that is rubbish thinking!

post field camp + vday

Another overdued post -.- well, lately nothing much has been happening in my life so really nothing much to update about. mostly been at home moping around my laptop checking the mommy forum pages and looking after Kaitlin cos Lihai was away for field camp. Due to his field camp, we didn't get to spend Vday tgt and only celebrated after. We didn't really have like the candle-lit dinner celebration and all that, but since it's like our third year, I guess that's alright. Though, it's the first Vday since we are married..oh well..all thanks to the army! >.<


Anyway, the boy came back on Thurs morning and surprised me with cake! Though it wasn't like a $10 cake or whatever, it was still the thought that counts <3 hehe!

Well, we showered etc and prepared and headed out! Went to vivo and bought Kaitxz a new top fro Zara, hehe! Super love the colour! Met Enna for lunch at Marche. YAY ROSTI! :D Lihai ordered steak, but honestly it wasn't that fantastic..it was like rubbery and chewy -.-  We went to toysrus and..well kinda spent quite awhile there. Think Lihai will never be tricked by me to go in again cos like I want to get everything for Kaitxz but Went back in the evening and attempted to be sweet  by surprising him with chilli crab cup noods and bottled vitasoy..I KNOW. WTF? Sorry right,  was trying to reminisce the past with him! Anw! I hid a letter under the cover of the cup noods, which hahaha I know he was touched by, though he probably won't admit it, but you can totally tell from his face kinda thing. HEHE. Oh yes, I brought him up to the rooftop of the carpark to do this....

Haha but Kaitlin was with us and she was crying and we didnt manage to like let it out into the sky properly :( But oh well, at least we tried! Haha! Kinda fail..but sigh, I guess no choice right? Was thinking of asking his mom to look after Kaitxz for awhile so I could surprise him with all these..but she wasn't home, so we had to make do :S  Well, anw, we went home and had our crab noods and soya milk and by then it was almost time for Kaitlin's bed time..so we went to bed shortly after!

Brought Kaitlin for her 4 month vaccine on Fri. Delayed for a month! It was also Kaitlin's fifth month! :D Oh yes, the boy bought me roses on Fri morn while going down to get brekkie <3 and while getting ready to go out, he was watching his nba with Kaitlin! Haha so cute!

Also, it's evidence of how engrossed he is and not paying attention to Kaitxz putting her book in her mouth! Tsk!

After the jab, we went over to Pique Nique to nomxz. Sadly, their menu has shrunk! There used to be so many items on their menu, so we were kinda disappointed..Ordered a lemon chiffon mousse cake and cajun mac & cheese to share! The mac & cheese was really good!:D comfort food <3

Saturday was sorta spent doing more impt stuff and running errands..we had lunch at pizza hut at lot one and Kaitlin sat on the high chair!  Hehe! At first she was still sleeping so we laid her down on the sofa seat thing. Then she woke up so we decided to place her on the high chair while we ate. Obviously that did not last very long before she started screeching again! But still, so cuteeeeeee!

"Celebrated" monthsary by having dinner at some jap restuarant at ion. Kaitxz was being noisy again so we had to take turns to eat. Thankfully she finally fell asleep so we rushed back home as soon as she fell asleep in case she wakes up mid way back! True enough, she did and was screeching on the train! D: People seriously must think we are abusing her or not doing something right :( that is not the case okay! She is just a screecher! I'VE GOOGLED IT. They do it when they are excited, grumpy etc. Like communicating. Just that she prefers to SCREECHHHH instead of like mumble or something. Idk, maybe she wants to be a pokemon!

On Sunday, we stayed home and cooked for each other. Initially, he was supposed to cook for me but I decided to be nice and since we had extra ingredients. So he cooked aglio olio with prawns, and I cooked aglio olio with crab meat for him.

Sad to say, I have not cooked for the longest time and also cos it was the first time I was using that crab meat thing we bought..it didn't taste really good, so we ended up going to get pasta sauce to stir in with out pasta and it tasted x10 better! Haha! So well, that was basically it for Vday!
