Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora

Last month Daddy Li and I celebrated our 40th month together, and I decided to bring him to Ocean Restaurant to celebrate. I initially planned to bring him there for Valentine's but it was booked full, so I postponed it and I'm glad to say that it was a great experience dining there.

This was taken at the carpark of Equarius Hotel while we were waiting to be shuttled to the Ocean Restaurant. Totally can't tell it's a carpark right?! The wonders of Instagram. Speaking of which..follow me @beaverwoo if you have yet to do so.

So pretty right?! We were seated right infront of the tank so we had a direct view of the beautiful fishes. This is gonna sound quite funny, but I felt so zen at that moment.

I got the set lunch menu, and Daddy just got a main dish. That way we could share and not end up being too full, and having that icky bloated feeling after. Didn't want to end up feeling uncomfy after cos we were going to the S.E.A aquarium (will blog about this soon!) after lunch!

The salad was yummy, but really nothing fancy in my opinion. Seeing the restaurant was helmed by Iron Chef Cat Cora, I was kind of expecting more.

I loved my main course. The snapper was cooked to perfection and so soft, plus it did not have any fishy taste or smell at all. I even let Kaitlin try the fish and she loved it. She kept wanting more. That's definitely a good sign cos Kaitlin can be quite a fussy eater. You must must try the fish!

Daddy Li's wagyu burger was a little tough, but other than that it was quite a nice main course.

Dessert was yummo! We loved every component of it. Great way to end off the meal.

Overall, the service was average. At times, it was hard to get the attention of the waiters. Also, paying the bill took an extremely long time. I don't know why they took so long to process the card, might not be an error on their part, but I was really rather displeased that I had to wait so long.

However, with that said, the stunning view of the aquarium totally made up for everything. It was really a unique dining experience, and we would most definitely return there again. I definitely recommend you to try out Ocean Restaurant, and I personally feel it is best to do so on weekdays so it's less crowded, and you might even get to dine at the tables right infront of the aquarium. Do note that it's best to make a reservation.

February [ in pictures ]

It's amazing how we are already into the third month of the year! How did two months just go by like that? I feel like I wasted two months of my life! Okay, that's not what I mean..I meant to say that well I felt like I never really did much the past two months.

February would definitely be a month of celebration. We had CNY and Valentine's Day + our usual monthsary celebration (once in a while we do something special..if not it really has become just like any other day except we don't fight on those days and give in a little more to each other!)

(You can follow me on Instagram @beaverwoo)

We've been bringing Kaitlin out quite alot the past month. Even on weekdays, instead of her usual play activities at home, I've opted to bring her to down to the pool instead, and to the botanical gardens for some fun in the sun!

Babygirl loves to play with water so she loves it when we go to the pool. Although I must add that she is afraid to get in. She just likes to play from the side, but better than nothing and I see some slight improvement.

Other than that, we've just been fooling around together and as you can see lots of family time which I am very thankful for. We also finally visited the S.E.A Aquarium which I will blog about soon.

I'm sort of dreading March. One of the reason being that Daddy Li has more duties this month and he will be away in the jungle for a few consecutive days D: It's bad enough that he won't be around, but with him in the jungle, I'll worry even more about him. Sigh..really hoping that this month goes smoothly so I guess the only way is to stay positive and look on the bright side of life aye?

Hope you will all have a great start to March and HAPPY WEEKENDS :D

fourteen months

Today marks 14 months of our marriage! Yes, awesome husband Lihai & me:) I can't find anything to complain about, unless you want me to be nitpicky and stuff..then perhaps it would be his snoring..which makes it hard for me to fall asleep..but HELLO. I RATHER HEAR SNORING EVERY NIGHT THAN TO BE ALONE ON A BED WITHOUT HIM BY MY SIDE #mushymuch <3

As such, I feel like being random so here's 5 things I love about Lihai:

1. I love how when I complain I have a tummy ache or my tummy feels funny and he would immediately ask if I want to rub oil and he will go get the oil and rub it for me! Feel so lovedddd! Like hello..I have my own pair of hands, I can do it myself..but he does it for me & it just feels nice having someone else rub warm oil on your tummy to make you more comfortable right!

2. I love how we always have our own language. Like we communicate in a way where we understand what each other mean and I just love how he understands what I'm trying to say..like when I make eye contact or nudge him to look at someone amongst a crowd coming towards us and he just gets who is it I'm referring to and what is it about that person I'm judging and vice versa!

3. I love his honesty. YAYYY! KEEP IT UP HUBXZ!

4. I love how he always supports me and gives me his frank opinion. Nothing more important than having those qualities. Wouldn't want him to be all like yah yah you can do it, when he doesn't actually believe in me or doesn't believe it's possibe.

5. I love how he always volunteers to go out and buy food for me when I say I'm hungry. Of course, I have never made him done that! It's just nice enough to hear his sincerity of wanting me to be full and happy :D

HUBSTERXZ Y U SO SWEETXZ?! LOVE YOU MANY <3
